Introducing Amaka AI, a visual reasoning engine for how people actually learn
Godswill Iyke Dave

When we looked at global education, we saw a crisis. Millions of students fail every year not because they lack intelligence, but because outdated textbooks and text-heavy AI models explain complex ideas as dry walls of text. It fails to build intuition.
Today at DaveLabs Horizon Summer '26 we launched Amaka AI, and it is live now at amaka.app.

The problem is not knowledge. It is intuition.
A textbook diagram of cellular respiration is correct and static. A language model will describe redox chemistry in three accurate paragraphs. A recorded video will walk through the mechanics of a pendulum — but if you do not follow frame 42, you cannot ask the video a question.
Each of these gets the facts right and the teaching wrong. Understanding a mechanism means being able to picture it moving. That is what a good teacher builds at a whiteboard, one stroke at a time, watching your face to know when to slow down.
What Amaka AI does differently
Amaka AI is a visual reasoning engine. Instead of dumping text, it uses drawing, analogies and live visual animations to make any complex topic instantly understandable for learners of all ages.
- It draws while it explains. Equations, chemical reactions and physics mechanics become 2D and 3D animations generated in real time, not retrieved from a library.
- It is interruptible. Ask a question halfway through and the board responds. A static video cannot do this; a classroom of forty students rarely can either.
- It speaks your language. Fourteen languages, including Wolof, Mandinka, Fula, Jola, Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba and Swahili.
- It adapts to the learner. The same concept is explained differently for a twelve-year-old and a second-year undergraduate.
Built on the Grammar of Graphics
Underneath is a pipeline that translates a concept into visual primitives — what to draw, in what order, at what pace, with what labels — before anything is rendered. We wrote about how that pipeline works.
We created Amaka AI to change that forever. Amaka AI is a visual reasoning engine that makes the abstract tangible.
Available now
Amaka AI is rolling out to schools, educational institutions and individual learners. Because of high initial server demand, access is limited to the first 1,000 users during this launch phase.
